SD DCI vendor/private contractor background checks require fingerprints and a signed Authorization & Release. The South Dakota state-only criminal history results are mailed to the requester. One set of prints is required and a state card is required in addition to the FD258. These may be submitted on cards and, from specific agencies, may be submitted electronically.
