What Are Fingerprint Cards?
Fingerprint cards are the traditional method of fingerprint collection. Fingerprint cards may be captured either by using ink or live scan fingerprint capture with cards printed.
INK FINGERPRINT CAPTURE AND LIVE SCAN WITH CARD PRINTOUTS ARE EQUIVALENT AND WILL BE ACCEPTED IN ALL CASES WHERE FINGERPRINT CARDS ARE REQUIRED. GUARANTEED!
PrintScan offices stock standard FBI (FD-258) and FINRA fingerprint cards. Fingerprint card services can be provided on any state-specific card. If you require fingerprinting on a form of any kind, other than a fingerprint card, please contact our office for direction.
Fingerprint Card Costs And Delivery
All PrintScan collection locations offer fingerprint card services, but not all locations have card printing capabilities on-site. When scheduling appointments at select locations, you may be required to pay shipping costs.
If you select a location where fingerprint cards cannot be printed, you will have to choose a shipping method. Additional fees for shipping will apply.
All shipping options, except for regular mail, will have tracking.
**We still do ink fingerprinting at corporate owned locations. BUT fingerprint cards are available at all locations.**
The Fingerprint Card Process

- An employee scans your record onto a card
- We mail you the cards

We provide only the highest quality fingerprint card service as our entire staff of Fingerprint Technicians are trained on a state and federal level and held to a higher standard of fingerprint collection.
PrintScan strives to capture the highest quality fingerprints possible. However, there are instances where fingerprint cards are rejected due to low quality images. This is generally due to age or various skin conditions. PrintScan will always provide an additional set of fingerprints at no cost when you provide a notice of rejection.
At PrintScan we use only the highest quality live scan devices and fingerprint capture materials. This makes all the difference with fingers that may be dry or oily and have trouble producing quality fingerprint images.

Q. How long does it take?
It typically takes about 5 - 7 minutes from the time you are called, until all of your fingerprints have been captured.
Q. Is it messy?
No. We use live scan technology to capture your fingerprints and then print the results onto a card which results in zero mess.
Q. What information do I need to have my fingerprint cards done?
You need a valid state or federally issued form of identification so we can prove your identity. A valid driver’s license or passport is acceptable.
Q. Do I need to bring any documentation to be fingerprinted?
Some agencies require an additional form to be completed by the fingerprint technician. Always make sure to bring everything provided to you by the requesting agency.
Q. What payment do you accept?
We accept any major credit card. (Visa/Mastercard/Discover/American Express)
Q. How far back does an FBI background check go?
An FBI background check goes back for the entire applicants lifetime.
