PrintScan Ohio Background Check Guide

The fingerprinting and background check process can be complicated. We decided to put together this guide as a quick reference to make your Ohio fingerprinting experience easier.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCI) participated in a pilot program with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to establish a mechanism for processing civilian background checks utilizing electronic fingerprint scanners. The result of this pilot effort in Ohio is the National WebCheck Program. Ohio’s National WebCheck program provides the participating agencies the ability to submit both BCI and FBI background checks electronically.
As BCI moves forward with the National WebCheck Program all participating vendors are required to certify their products prior to acceptance of National WebCheck transactions to BCI. This certification process is in place to ensure both software and hardware compliance. PrintScan’s software and hardware are certified by Ohio BCI for live scan fingerprinting.
